Law 6: Cause & Effect

Cause & Effect → Sowing & Reaping: The Unwavering Harvest

Introduction

After the illuminating power of Light and Truth (Law 5) reveals the nature of reality, we must confront the direct consequences of our actions within that reality. This brings us to one of the universe’s most foundational operating principles, a law recognized by both science and ancient wisdom: Cause and Effect 🎯.

In the physical world, this principle is absolute. Every action triggers a reaction. A force applied creates motion (or resistance). Energy input changes temperature. Chemical bonds broken or formed release or consume energy. It’s the reliable, predictable chain of events that underpins all scientific understanding ⚖️. Nothing occurs in isolation; effects always follow causes, rippling outwards through the system 🔄.

Does this bedrock principle of physical consequence have an equally unwavering counterpart in the spiritual realm?

This Sixth Law delves into the direct and profound parallel between physical Cause and Effect and the spiritual law articulated clearly in scripture: Sowing and Reaping (Galatians 6:7). Simply put: what you plant, you will eventually harvest 🌱🌾. Our choices, our actions, our words, even the intentions of our hearts – these are the “seeds” we sow into our lives and the lives of others. And just as surely as a planted seed yields its specific fruit, our spiritual sowing will produce a corresponding harvest, for blessing or for consequence.

How does the physics of action-reaction help us understand spiritual accountability? In what ways does the concept of momentum in physics mirror how small, repeated spiritual choices gain traction and lead to significant outcomes? What does this inescapable law reveal about divine justice and the intrinsic consequences woven into the moral fabric of God’s creation?

When we explore Law 6 in full, we’ll examine the scientific basis of causality, and map these principles onto the vital theological truths of responsibility, the enduring impact of our choices, and the unavoidable harvest determined by the seeds we plant throughout our lives. Welcome to the law of consequences. Welcome to Law 6.
