IRON CHAIN POSITION: 58 of 67 This axiom distinguishes creaturely consciousness from the infinite divine processor.

Formal Statement
Creaturely consciousness is bandwidth-limited; it operates through a finite ‘attention bottleneck’ that restricts the amount of information processed per unit time.
Type Classification
🔴 Constraint — It defines the limits of finite observers. While the Logos Field (χ) is infinite, our coupling to it is restricted.
The “Attention Bottleneck”
Following the Global Workspace Theory (Baars/Dehaene), consciousness acts as a serial broadcast channel for a parallel processing system.
- Divine Access (GI.1): Parallel, infinite, total coherence.
- Human Access (HC.6): Serial, finite, local coherence.
χ-Mapping: This is the reason we don’t “see” the entire wavefunction. We can only actualize one bit-stream of reality at a time. Our limited bandwidth creates the appearance of linear time and local space.
Defeat Conditions
This axiom fails if:
- A human mind is shown to process infinite informational complexity simultaneously
- e.g., consciously tracking every subatomic state in the universe in real-time.
Domain Manifestations
| Domain | Expression |
|---|---|
| Cognitive Science | Miller’s Law (7 ± 2 items in working memory). |
| Information Theory | Shannon Capacity limit of the neural channel. |
| Theology | The difference between Omniscience and Finite Wisdom. |
The Logic Chain
- Participatory Consciousness (HC.4)
- Finite Bandwidth (HC.6) (this axiom)
- Limited access implies localized perspective.
- Locality of Access (HC.7)
