Properties are the stable characteristics of a thing. They make identity observable and allow relationships to be consistent.

If a thing had no properties, it could not be known, described, or trusted. Properties are the anchors of understanding.

Properties can change in degree without changing in kind. That is why growth is possible without loss of self.

Properties are the fingerprints of being.
