Against Many-Worlds

CHARGE: Many-Worlds claims “there’s no collapse—all possibilities exist in branching parallel universes.”

CROSS-EXAMINATION:

”Why do I experience only one outcome?"	"You split into multiple yous…”	But I experience continuity. Where does the experienced continuity come from?
”How many worlds are there?"	"Uncountably many…”	That’s the most extravagant ontology possible. Is there any evidence for even one other world?
”Can we test this?"	"Not directly, but it’s elegant…”	Elegance without evidence is not physics—it’s aesthetics.

THE PARSIMONY TRAP:

Many-Worlds: All possibilities are real
But: We observe only one outcome
Many-Worlds postulates infinite unobservable entities
This maximally violates Occam's Razor
One world with collapse is simpler than infinite worlds without
∴ Many-Worlds is maximally unparsimonious
∴ Many-Worlds fails simplicity test

Against Determinism

CHARGE: Determinism claims “quantum mechanics is secretly deterministic—hidden variables determine outcomes.”

THE BELL TRAP:

Determinism: Hidden variables determine outcomes
But: Bell's theorem shows local hidden variables impossible
Experiments confirm Bell inequality violations
Non-local hidden variables are even more mysterious
∴ Standard determinism is ruled out
∴ Something non-deterministic (like consciousness) causes outcomes
