D-007: Alignment
Definition
Alignment is the degree of coherence between an agent’s will/action and the Logos Field ($\chi$) — the geometric orientation measured by the Orientation Operator ($\sigma$).
Formal Statement
$$\text{Alignment}(A) = \sigma_A \cdot \cos(\theta_{A,\chi})$$
Where $\theta$ is angle between agent’s will vector and Logos flow.
Values
| Alignment | σ Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Full | +1 | Complete coherence |
| Partial | (0,1) | Partial alignment |
| None | 0 | Orthogonal / indifferent |
| Opposed | (-1,0) | Partial misalignment |
| Anti | -1 | Complete opposition |
Key Properties
- Objective: Not subjective preference
- Measurable: In principle, via $\sigma$
- Moral Basis: Good = aligned; Evil = misaligned
(TO BE FILLED)
Theological Correlate
- Righteousness — alignment with God’s will
- Sin — misalignment
- Sanctification — progressive alignment
