1. Unmeasurable Coherence
- Charge: Φ and χ are unmeasurable and unfalsifiable. Conflates data description (IIT) with ontological reality.
- Positivist Stance: Information is a useful fiction. “Φ-field” has zero predictive advantage over neuroscience.
2. Moral Category Error
- Charge: Equating “Good” with “High Φ” is a category error. Psychopaths have high local coherence.
- Positivist Stance: Morality is human convention. Pretending it’s written in physics is metaphysical theater.
